What Are airBaltic's Top Destinations for February 2023?

Latvian flag carrier airBaltic has named its top travel destinations for the month of February from Riga. These destinations were Tenerife, Munich, London, and Brussels.

These choices can be seen as understandable for the time of year, with very popular city breaks destinations such as London and Munich making the list and winter sun hot spots like Tenerife making the cut as well.

On top of this, airBaltic has said that they are focusing on providing passengers with a wide range of travel options and convenient schedules, which has played its part in making these destinations the most popular.

In addition, airBaltic also listed that Paris, Berlin, Helsinki, and Amsterdam were among the most favored routes from Riga during February.

With major cities taking up most of the list of top destinations during February, it is likely we will see a shift in this popularity to those sunny beach destinations with a busy summer season ahead for the airline.

It remains clear that airBaltic is performing significantly better than last year, as we can see from movement statistics for March 19-26. 

The airline is expected to handle 115 movements, based on a seven-day rolling average provided by us.

This represents an increase of 53.33% compared to the same period last year, where the carrier handled just 75 movements based on those averages.

What we can see from the data is that slowly but surely, airBaltic is getting closer to pre-pandemic levels, having improved massively from the same periods in 2022. 

Ahead of the Summer 2023 season, it will be expected that the airline can achieve such recovery, especially with the number of routes launched in recent months.
